(KMOV.com, 9/16/14) – The Belleville School District said private funding is being used to help pay off a loan taken out to build new artificial football fields at both of the district’s high schools.

The district took out a loan to cover the $1.38 million cost. Superintendent Jeff Dosier said private pledges and donations have topped $1 million and the district has also sold advertisements.

Dosier said the district is on track to pay off the loan ahead of schedule.
